    Description
    The activity supported the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities of Ukraine in developing a roadmap to strengthen employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. Through peer-to-peer exchanges with experts from France, Sweden, Spain and Austria, Ukrainian stakeholders explored European approaches to supported employment, sheltered employment, employer incentives and inclusive employment in the public sector. The exchanges contributed to a better understanding of how complementary measures can support access to and retention in employment, while strengthening coordination between public authorities, employers and organisations of persons with disabilities. A key outcome was the development of five pilot project models covering supported employment, non-profit and for-profit sheltered employment, disability inclusion in the public sector, and the transformation of existing enterprises into sheltered employment companies. These pilots are intended to generate practical evidence to inform future policy development and the potential scaling-up of effective measures in Ukraine.
