SOCIEUX+ and Arbetsförmedlingen sign cooperation agreement to mobilise expertise
SOCIEUX+ and Arbetsförmedlingen, the Swedish Public Employment Service, have signed a collaborative agreement that will allow the mobilization of experts in the fields of social protection, labour and employment policies, and the implementation of joint international cooperation activities.
According to the agreement formalised in early 2022, employees and other staff of Arbetsförmedlingen may participate in SOCIEUX+ activities as expert team members. SOCIEUX+ may also complement the international technical cooperation efforts of Arbetsförmedlingen.
SOCIEUX+ activities have previously benefited from the expertise and collaboration of Arbetsfôrmedlingen, as in:
- The Chinese National PES Conference in July 2018, in which the experience of Arbetsfôrmedlingen was presented.
- The presentation of the SOCIEUX+ Labour Market Information Systems Report in the Webinar on Labour Market Information Systems, conducted in September 2020 within the framework of the Training Programme for Productive Employment and Decent Work for Sustainable Development, and in cooperation with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Arbetsförmedlingen and the Rwanda Workers’ Trade Union Confederation (CESTRAR).
- Support for the territorial implementation of the Public Policy for Informal Vendors in Colombia, including creation of a toolbox and action guide with the support of an expert from Arbetsförmedlingen, in May 2021.
More joint activities are being planned for 2022, and beyond.
About Arbetsförmedlingen
Arbetsförmedlingen, the Swedish Public Employment Service, is a government-funded agency. Its main mission is to provide employment services to jobseekers and employers, prioritising long-term unemployed and those most vulnerable on the labour market, and to contribute to a stable long-term increase of employment.
Arbetsförmedlingen is responsible for public employment services and active labour market policies The agency adapts services and programmes to the demands of the labour market and the requirements on the labour force.
It also has the sector responsibility for functional impairment issues with the labour market policy, and the total responsibility for the integration of newly arrived immigrants into the labour market. Arbetsförmedlingen shall also ensure that Sweden fulfill the requirements with regards to facilitating intra-EU mobility.

SOCIEUX+ EU Expertise on Social Protection, Labour and Employment is a facility for technical cooperation between public and social partner peers, established and co-funded by the European Union, France, Belgium, and Spain.
Based on the peer exchange model, SOCIEUX+ shares knowledge and experiences through short-term activities. Since its inception in 2013, SOCIEUX+ has implemented more than 350 activities in 56 countries, with over 11,000 days of cooperation activities.
SOCIEUX+ is implemented by a partnership led by Expertise France, BELINCOSOC (Belgian International Cooperation on Social Protection), the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP), and the Belgian Development Agency (Enabel).
