The SOCIEUX+ response to COVID-19
During these challenging times, global cooperation among peers is more important than ever before. The ability to rapidly exchange information on lessons learned during this global pandemic is essential to securing equitable and inclusive social protection systems and employment policies.
That’s why the SOCIEUX+ team is actively working with its partners across the world to respond to the socioeconomic challenges of the current crisis, transferring the valuable experience of institutions and social partners in EU Member States to other countries.
SOCIEUX+ is well positioned to contribute to the EU response, possessing expertise in both EU knowledge-sharing and peer-to-peer learning related to social protection systems and employment policies.
Our specific response to this crisis comprises:
-
Access to experience dealing with the impacts of COVID-19:
We have extended our technical cooperation to include remote activities that improve the socioeconomic impact of COVID-19 on social protection, labour and employment services and policies. We have also simplified the process for requesting technical assistance for individual remote activities for partner countries dealing with the COVID-19 crisis. Find the simplified form here:
-
Remote support, exchanges and coaching:
We provide remote support through different platforms, and are continuing with our planned activities and expert exchanges. -
Synergies with international organisations:
We are working with organisations such as WAPES, ILO, and IDB to identify partners’ needs, challenges, and trends in response to this pandemic, through surveys and other works focused specifically on the social protection and employment sectors.
At SOCIEUX+, we remain committed to facilitating peer-to-peer exchanges, especially between public practitioners and social partners, and we encourage interested institutions to submit a request.
