Launch of a training programme for public employment services in Gabon
The Minister of Labour of Gabon, Madame Solange Nguiakie, and the Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the EU Delegation, Nicolas Kasprzyk, have jointly launched a training programme for the National Center for the Promotion of Employment (PNPE), with the technical assistance of SOCIEUX+. The aim of this activity is to strengthen the capacity to provide services to jobseekers, particularly vulnerable groups, and will count on the expertise of experts from France and Sweden (SOCIEUX+ 2023-27).

A delegation from Zambia visited Poland from 25 to 29 September to learn about EU good practices in the promotion of health coverage and health insurance mechanism and, specifically, to learn about the Polish experiences and lessons learned in this field.

Job opportunities for young people: SOCIEUX+ cooperation with three Nigerian partners
With SOCIEUX+, public experts from six EU countries participated in peer-to-peer technical cooperation activities with public employment services in Nigeria in 2023. In this article we review the eight activities carried out so far with three different partners but with the same objective: more and better employment opportunities for a very young and growing population.

SOCIEUX+ E-learning Award recognizes engaging peer-to-peer experiences
Three courses have been awarded the first SOCIEUX+ e-learning award, which recognises outstanding peer-to-peer experiences developed on the Facility's technical cooperation platform. The award was announced during the webinar "SOCIEUX+ e-learning award: lessons learned and way forward" held on 12 September, which was attended by more than 50 people and also served to discuss peer-to-peer cooperation with different types of e-learning initiated by SOCIEUX+.

Training for inclusive employment in Serbia
The seminar Training on the concept of working with people with disabilities, organised by SOCIEUX+ with the National Employment Service of Serbia, and supported by the Ministry of European Integration and the French Embassy, has begun in Belgrade. Experts from France and Romania will exchange EU practices with counsellors for the employment of persons with disabilities to enhance knowledge and labor market accessibility. Seminar 'Building Bridges' in Uruguay: Promoting a National Job Orientation System
The Minister of Labour and Social Security (MTSS) of Uruguay, Pablo Mieres, participated in the opening of the seminar Building Bridges, organised jointly with the EU Facility SOCIEUX+, where he highlighted the need for articulation between public and private actors to improve access to employment for the vulnerable population. SOCIEUX+ launches e-course Acting Upon Inequality
SOCIEUX+ has launched the e-course “Acting upon inequality”, designed to training and raise awareness among experts engaged in the Facility's technical cooperation activities, and also open to anyone interested. The EU Facility SOCIEUX+ and the Economic Research Institute of Kazakhstan held the webinar "Social assistance measures: experience of the European Union" on September 27; the event involved public experts from France (CNAF) and Slovakia (Comenius University in Bratislava), and honored the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
