Inclusive Social Protection Systems in Asia: a regional experts meeting
UN ESCAP, OECD Development Center, ILO and SOCIEUX+ have co-organised an expert group meeting on Inclusive Social Protection Systems in Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok, Thailand, 11-12 April, 2019. The meeting gathered international experts to discuss policy priorities that can extend social protection systems and strengthen decent work opportunities, in the context of large informal employment sectors, rising inequality, and ageing populations.

Social Protection at the heart of the development agenda in Addis Ababa
More than 60 participants gathered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 19-20 February, 2019, to discuss best practices and evidence on expanding the coverage of social protection systems and fair employment policies, particularly in areas with large informal employment systems, at the conference ‘Inclusive Social Protection Systems in Sub-Saharan Africa’ .

Learning experiences and thoughts from SOCIEUX+ regional meeting in Mexico
SOCIEUX+ regional meeting in Mexico City brought together more than 100 participants, including a selection of delegates from Latin American countries and representatives of European countries and institutions. They were able to discuss the current state of public employment policies and social protection systems in both regions. SOCIEUX+ in Peru: Enhancing social protection policies for labor migrants and atypical workers
Working together, SOCIEUX+ and the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) of Peru have jointly identified two areas of cooperation for improvements in social protection: the portability of rights of Peruvian labor migrants (Action 2017-12), and adequate coverage of atypical workers (Action 2017-30).
