SOCIEUX+ launches e-learning platform for online training and peer-to-peer exchange
SOCIEUX+ EU Expertise on Social Protection, Labour and Employment has launched its own e-learning platform to facilitate online trainings and peer-to-peer exchanges with partners all over the world. The development of this tool, based on the open-source platform Moodle, is part of the SOCIEUX+ response to the global COVID-19 pandemic and international travel restrictions.

SOCIEUX+ and DGUV extend their collaborative agreement
German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) and SOCIEUX+ have extended their collaboration to jointly promote international cooperation activities and peer-to-peer exchanges among public experts. Under the previous agreement, more than ten SOCIEUX+ missions were carried out by experts from DGUV in countries such as Malawi, Nigeria, and Tanzania.

The UN Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, Olivier De Schutter, called for reactions on the establishment of a Global Fund for Social Protection; a proposal to be addressed by the Human Rights Council in June 2021. SOCIEUX+ quickly reacted to this call and provided its input.

The World Association of Public Employment Services (WAPES), together with the Social Security Organization SOCSO from Malaysia, will host the web conference Addressing the Impact of Covid-19 on the Labour Market, on November 26. Promoting Vision Zero: Web-based training on occupational safety and health in Nigeria
The training on occupational safety and health (OSH) has now resumed in Nigeria, albeit at a distance, after the interruption due to the difficulty of organizing on-site activities during the pandemic crisis. The new module introduces the principles and methods of the International Social Security Association (ISSA)’s Vision Zero strategy, using the new SOCIEUX+ distance modality
