SOCIEUX+ EU Expertise on Social Protection, Labour and Employment has launched its own e-learning platform to facilitate online trainings and peer-to-peer exchanges with partners all over the world. The development of this tool, based on the open-source platform Moodle, is part of the SOCIEUX+ response to the global COVID-19 pandemic and international travel restrictions.
The UN Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, Olivier De Schutter, called for reactions on the establishment of a Global Fund for Social Protection; a proposal to be addressed by the Human Rights Council in June 2021. SOCIEUX+ quickly reacted to this call and provided its input.
The support of equitable social protection systems and employment policies remains a key area for European international and development cooperation, and has gained even greater relevance in the context of the COVID-19 crisis. SOCIEUX+ EU Expertise on Social Protection, Labour and Employment is proud to announce the renewal of European commitment to its new four-year phase of work.
