The support of equitable social protection systems and employment policies remains key for the European international and development cooperation, and has gained even greater relevance in the context of the COVID-19 crisis. SOCIEUX+ EU expertise on social protection, labour and employment, is proud to announce a new phase of work for the next four years.
The World Association of Public Employment Services (WAPES), together with the Social Security Organization SOCSO from Malaysia, will host the web conference Addressing the Impact of Covid-19 on the Labour Market, on November 26. SOCIEUX+ will join the discussions on recovery policies to support the most affected sectors. Read more and register here
The training on occupational safety and health (OSH) has now resumed in Nigeria, albeit at a distance, after the interruption due to the difficulty of organizing on-site activities during the pandemic crisis. The new module introduces the principles and methods of the International Social Security Association (ISSA)’s Vision Zero strategy, using the new SOCIEUX+ distance modality
SOCIEUX+ continues its cooperation with the National Social Protection Council of the Kingdom of Cambodia, now through online activities, starting a structured reflection on trends and models of disability-inclusive social protection, with the experiences of Portugal and other European countries.
SOCIEUX+ has participated in the global conference Turning the COVID-19 crisis into an opportunity: What’s next for social protection?, organised by Socialprotection.org, on Tue 6 Oct, at the Clinic 5 session: Linking social protection, employment and economic inclusion in times of COVID-19 and beyond.
