- In alignment with Kosovo*’s commitment to enhancing the inclusion, equitable rights, and social engagement of Persons with Disabilities, the Office on Good Governance has of mandate to be of advice to the Prime Minister in areas of good governance, human rights, equal opportunities and anti-discrimination issues. This is done by way of policy drafting, reviewing of draft legislation, awareness raising of the population on issues relating to human rights, involving civil society in policy making, drafting and implementation of strategic documents. The Office on Good Governance of the Prime Minister’s Office of Kosovo reached out to SOCIEUX+ to review and update the previous National Strategy and Action Plans for Persons living with Disabilities, which was implemented along with a monitoring and evaluation mechanism. This action mobilized Belgian, Romanian, Portuguese and Swedish expertise.

- Description
- The Agency for Sustainable and Operative Social Provision (DOST) aims to improve the quality of services in the areas of employment, labour, social protection, and provision of social services. Through its request of accompanying functional digital transition, it aims to increase transparency and ensure the application of innovative solutions, accelerate the transition to e-services, reduce bureaucracy, and enhance citizen satisfaction. Through this action, which involved experts from France, the Netherlands, Poland, and Romania mobilized by SOCIEUX+, DOST has acquired a clear understanding of the steps to be taken to digitize its services and as to create a single integrated digital platform accessible to all users – the ‘Virtual DOST’. The experts also provided advice on the governance and management of the information systems, and the implementation of data protection standards.

- Description
- The action in collaboration with the OSH Directorate of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy, aimed to promote and support the development of a preventive safety and health at work in Serbia. Experts from the Czechia, Spain and Latvia mobilised by SOCIEUX+ reviewed guidelines of the work at high and low temperature and trained OSH Administration and stakeholders on how to ensure the health of workers at high and low temperature. Two technical cooperation activities in Belgrade resulted with updated guidelines for safe and healthy outdoor work and increased knowledge for the OSH Administration, inspectors and social partners. The experts also contributed to the development of a brochure for wider distribution as part of the OSH Administration's awareness-raising activities.

- The Ministry of Finance Labour and Transfers of Kosovo* is working to improve the gathering of adequate data on the labour demand side, in order to ensure informed and responsive employment policies in response to high unemployment rates, informality, and skills mismatches. This action, which relied on the expertise of Irish, Swedish and French public experts mobilized by SOCIEUX+, successfully managed to strengthen the Ministry's capacity by implementing the following activities: (i) mapping the current situation of labour market data demand; (ii) developing a data governance framework; (iii) defining the characteristics/responsibilities of the team in charge of data administration and management; (iv) training selected staff of the Ministry on the developed data governance framework; (v) providing EU best practices on the role of data, evidence and analysis in the formulation of employment policies and labour market strategies through a study visit to Ireland.
