Description
SOCIEUX+ organized and delivered a training involving staff of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of Cameroon regarding the transition to formal work and the social rights to which informal workers should be entitled. Experts from France have displayed international principles and norms and presented indicators that can accompany a policy of formalization.
The technical cooperation developed with the Ministry of Economy and Finances of Cambodia has firstly contributed to building the capacity of policymakers and technical staff with regards to the design and set-up of a supervisory mandate over social protection schemes, in view of EU and international best practices and affirmed mechanisms. Furthermore, experts from Bulgaria, Germany, and Lithuania, and the partner, jointly identified concrete options of financial supervision and regulation of Social Protection schemes which are applicable to the Cambodian context.
The Action contributed to an increased understanding among relevant stakeholders and the National Health Insurance Board’s (NHIB) staff on the need for having a clearly defined benefit package included in health insurance, on the functions of a health insurance management agencies, and on their role in ensuring quality of healthcare services. Mobilized experts from Estonia, France, Hungary and Italy have also addressed the institutional, administrative and technical aspects required to hand over the management of the formal sector health insurance schemes to the NHIB in line with the national policy and regulations.

Description
SOCIEUX+ partnered with a local authority (the Municipality of Girardota) to provide policy advice for the promotion of decent work opportunities in the local labour market. Spanish experts helped the partner to identify the challenges and bottlenecks faced by the municipal Public Employment Service in promoting decent work. As a result, the municipality of Girardota elaborated and adopted a municipal policy for the promotion of decent work, articulated on a few key areas: enhancing employability through VET, fostering entrepreneurship, socio-labour support to vulnerable groups. In addition, indicators for monitoring and evaluation of the policy were jointly developed.

Description
Experts mobilized by SOCIEUX+ contributed to the panel "Reconciling sufficiency and sustainability. Lessons and experiences " through a presentation on the financing of Social Security in France, especially the design, implementation and results of the Generalized Social Contribution (CSG). A report prepared by the expert also addressed other components of Social Protection, including health expenditure, family benefits, compensation for loss of employment and insurance against occupational risks and diseases.
This was the first request that the Ministry of Social Development of Armenia submitted to SOCIEUX+, in view to adopt a new methodology for disability assessment that be based on functional capacities rather than on purely medical conditions. In the course of four activities, managed by Greek expert’s teams, the partner accomplished the preparatory work required for the adoption of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) and constructed most of the necessary components (scales and formulas) for a reliable, fair and suitable disability assessment system. Experts showcased the practical implications of the transition towards the ICF-based approach, then presented the processes and tools pertaining to disability assessment, and finally set up a strategy for communicating policy changes to relevant constituencies. An Armenian delegation, led by the vice-Minister of Social Development, visited assessment centers in Cyprus.
