    Description
    In light of Montenegro's recent adoption of the Strategy for the Improvement of Occupational Safety and Health 2022-2027 (with its 22/23 Implementation Action Plan) to align its national legislation with the EU acquis, and in view of the challenges faced by the construction industry in terms of injuries at work, the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare (MLSW) requested support from SOCIEUX+ to improve the capacity of OSH coordinators to prevent accidents at construction sites. Specifically, the action successfully empowered the staff of the OSH Directorate of the MLSW to conduct training sessions for OSH coordinators (both design phase coordinators and construction phase coordinators), with the sharing of [EU and regional] expertise from the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Spain, Latvia, Serbia and North Macedonia.

    Description
    Experts from Lithuania, Austria, Spain and France, mobilised by SOCIEUX+, collaborated with the State Labour Inspectorate (SLI) of North Macedonia to identify organisational gaps and formulate recommendations for optimising human resources management. Following an initial functional analysis of HR management within SLI, experts worked with their peers on two main components: the review, reformulation and standardisation of job descriptions used for recruitment and management purposes; and the matching of job profiles to organisational objectives as well as to objectives linked to the deployment of the labour inspection mandate of SLI.

    Description
    The Instituto para la Economia Social (IPES) of Bogotá provides care and attention to informal street vendors. This action served the purpose of setting up tools for the design, the management and the follow-up of policies related to training, work and employment of informal street vendors. French experts first assessed IPES’ current programme in favor of street vendors, including orientation counselling, vocational training, training on merchandising. Recurrent problems were identified, and assessment results presented and discussed with the partner and its teams. A set of preliminaries recommendations was formulated. Specific attention was given to evaluate the actions aimed at promoting entrepreneurship among street vendors.

    The action aimed to strengthen the capacity of the East and Central Africa Social Security Association (ECASSA) to design and conduct training in favor of its member organizations The three activities’ deliverables are similar and consist in the materials presented by SOCIEUX-mobilized experts/trainers throughout the three sessions and pertaining to social protection coverage, leadership and ethics, and occupational safety and health. The participating experts came from Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands
